A group of Philanthropists from Srikakulam town have come together with a view to provide high quality technical education to the people of Srikakulam District. They felt the need of providing Engineering Education to the local people. They found a suitable site for the Endeavour near chilakapalem ,8KM away from Srikakulam towards Visakhapatnam along side the NH-16(old NH-5). It is quite adjacent to the high-way near the toll gate .

Sri sivani college of Engineering was started in 2006.Since its inception , the institution has been maintaining all the statndars stipulated by the JNTU-K , Kakinada. It has been maintaining a clean chit in all the fields. There are no court cases , no show-cause notices , no discripancies regarding the functioning of the Institution till now. Basing on its all round development and functioning. The JNTUK , Kakinada has been granting affiliation continuously . The FFC of the University has found every thing in tact as a result of which affliations are being renewed year after year consecutively .

“We are only seeking to bring in uniformity and quality education for affiliated colleges. This will check the incidents of malpractice which students indulge in, especially when they have too many backlogs. Many students are stagnating due to backlogs and it is our attempt at streamlining the process, which is already being followed a ffiliated colleges in Kakinada. However, it has no correlation to the incident of tampering of answer sheets last year,” said Dr. G.V.R. Prasada Raju , registrar of JNTU Kakinada.

As per the view of Professor P. Jaya Prakash Rao, who is the chairman of APSCHE “The rules will also help students seeking transfer from one college to another as well as make it easier for potential employers to compare the qualifications of candidates from different university regions,”
